Micah Elan
Micah Elan is the Senior Manager of Membership and Events at the Green Sports Alliance. Micah focuses on client services and sustainability for national and international professional and collegiate sports members, in addition to mission-aligned corporate partners. In this role, Micah provides members and partners with sustainability resources, network connections, research, and recommendations. He also supports year-round membership programming including webinars, regional workshops, Annual Summit and symposiums, and resources to facilitate members achieving their sustainability goals. Prior to GSA, Micah worked at the San Francisco-based nonprofit Center for Resource Solutions, focusing on advancing impactful global renewable energy markets. He is passionate about the intersection of the environmental sector and equity, striving to bring positive benefits to underrepresented communities through sustainability initiatives. Micah also achieved a successful career as a professional basketball player, competing internationally in England, Spain, Israel, Macedonia, and Bulgaria. He was recognized as an NCAA All-American at Pomona-Pitzer College, where he set collegiate records for points, assists, three-pointers made, and wins while earning a double degree in Environmental Analysis and Economics. Micah resides in his hometown of San Francisco, where he enjoys time with family, pickup sports, and the outdoors.
