Part II of the Driving Sustainability virtual conversation series will take place on Wednesday, December 9 at 2 p.m. EST. Post U.S. presidential election and titled “The Next Four Years,” Part II of the series will discuss predictions for the next term and the importance of sustainable initiatives in restarting the economy and leading with purpose.
Both Driving Sustainability virtual events will be streamed live on LinkedIn and YouTube.
Driving Sustainability: From Crisis to Opportunity on October 28 will look at the environmental, economic and social challenges the pandemic has brought to the forefront, highlighting their interdependence and overall effect on sustainability. Tara Hemmer will moderate the conversation with Figueres discussing climate change and Crowe examining food insecurity.
The Driving Sustainability series will set the stage for the 2021 WM Sustainability Forum to be held virtually February 3 and 4, 2021. The two-day virtual conference, held in conjunction with the PGA TOUR’s WM Phoenix Open, will bring together thought leaders from both business and civic sectors to exchange ideas and create innovative strategies around sustainability. The daily schedule and featured speakers for the 2021 WM Sustainability Forum will be announced at a later date.
Waste Management created the Sustainability Forum in 2011 as a collaborative space for corporate leaders, government leaders, experts, innovators and influencers to share insights and exchange ideas.
