The University of Colorado partnered with BASF this season to host eight Sustainable Gamedays during basketball games at the Coors Events Center in Boulder. The Sustainable Gamedays provided an opportunity for the school and corporation to work together to teach fans about issues regarding sustainability, recycling and organics during four men’s games and four women’s contests.

The Buffaloes, already one of the collegiate leaders in athletic-department sustainability, are using the opportunity to extend their platform to the wider community. “With innovative programs like Sustainable Gamedays, together, BASF and CU are transforming zero waste at college campuses,” said CU Environmental Center director David Newport about the partnership.
