As part of AEG’s global effort to celebrate Earth Day, which include events across the world, the L.A. LIVE entertainment district and STAPLES Center where the LA KINGS, Lakers and Clippers play, is hosting an Earth Month with a series of environmental events. The series aims to promote steps toward environmental sustainability for the more than 300,000 people expected to attend the events at L.A. LIVE throughout the month.
The series of events, which has been coordinated with the sports teams that occupy the facility, culminates in a Kings game against the Dallas Stars on April 21, at which AEG will highlight its work with local non-profit organization Heal the Bay. On the following day, Earth Day, employees of the Kings, AEG and the STAPLES Center will team up with Heal the Bay for an organized beach cleanup at Dockweiler State Beach.
Lee Zeidman, senior vice president and general manager of the STAPLES Center, Nokia Theatre and L.A. LIVE, said, “We look forward to involving our fans and guests throughout the month of April and bringing awareness to the work we do here along with AEG 1EARTH and what they can take away and do at home to become more environmentally friendly.”
